Further snow is set to fall throughout Britain during the next 24 hours as weather forecasters predict the big freeze will continue well into next week.
The ice cold weather will see temperatures plummet to around minus five degrees celcius in most areas overnight, with a band of snow heading towards London from Northern Scotland.
